Given the fact that many of the companies involved have had a good history of managing corporate communications and corporate image, in the past, and are actively involved in socially responsible projects (like PayPal and Virgin) or understand how digital works (like Blackberry and NetFlix), you have to ask: “why do they not ‘get’ social media?”.
